Lighting Techniques of a Professional Real Estate Photographer

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Jinks Realty 0352394

There are a series of videos with Scott Hargis, a renowned real estate photographer, which show Scott’s lighting techniques for a typical real estate shoot. These videos are a series of time laps photos showing Scott at work with explanations along the way. Do you take this much time with your listing photos?

Lee, I watched the videos and Scott does a great job of photographing home interiors. This is the difference between a pro and an amateur. Thanks.

Lee, very good tips.  Thanks very much for that. I'm going to bookmark it.

These videos are truly informative.  Thanks for posting it.  While I think good photography is critical, in the price ranges that I typically deal with,  taking the time to get a perfect photo just doesn't make financial sense.  I think that a good to very good photo can be sufficient.

I have to agree with you Don.  A good photo is sufficient under most conditions.  The problem is that most MLS photos are not even good.

Nice but it'd be nice to see what others are doing WITHOUT all the extra flashes and such....

MLS photos are usually horrible.  I have taken lots of expired listings and turned them around just because the former agent was too lazy to take some good shots and edit them for MLS. Lighting is soooo important.  Thanks.
