Homer M. Hadley who pioneered the worlds first floating bridge which is now commonly called the I-90 floating bridge that links Seattle, WA to Mercer Island.

Three lanes of traffic each way and 2 reversable HOV lanes and a bicycle lane bring commuters from the Seattle City core to Mercer Island on a daily basis. This bridge is the fifth longest floating bridge in the world at 5811 feet (1772M) The bridge to the right is the Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge. The Evergreen Point Floating Bridge (Albert D. Rosellini) just north of here that Connects The University of Washington to Medina is the second longest Floating bridge in the world at 12.82 miles, 7578 feet (2310M) and the Longest is the Hood Canal Bridge 7869 feet (2398M) which connects the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula.

Where else in the world are there floating bridges? I don't see any out here in NYC?  I do enjoy the I-90 bridge so much more than 520.
