A White Christmas wish granted in Frisco TX

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with 3:16 team REALTY ~ Locally-owned Prosper TX Real Estate Co. #9001154

I secretly wished for a White Christmas this year (2009) just because ..... Now guess what? We're having a White Christmas here in Frisco TX. It's an awesome wish granted because we don't get snow very often. Once or twice a year - if we are considered lucky. As years past, we seem to get the treacherous ice more often than we get snow.

As I see these pictures, this lyrics is so appropriate:

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I'm too wimpy to be out in this weather.

Temperature is measuring 28 degrees F with wind gust up to 40mph.

In plain English, if you don't need to be out, don't be out.

Have yourself a very Merry (hopefully White) Christmas!

Now, if you were a video person, watch my husband's video of this "frightful" weather. COLD!!!

Nice!!  We have a white Christmas here too because we have snow left over from the big storm this past weekend.  It's my first white Christmas ever.  Enjoy your day!

Loreena, I guess I have not been paying attention to our Northern neighbors.  I didn't realize it was snowing in the Dallas area.  I was out this afternoon covering plants as we are getting below freezing here tonight.  Our high today was 71 but I think it was at about 8:00 this morning.

It's pretty much a given in Daytona Beach that we are NOT going to have a white Christmas! (personally makes me happy) But I'm glad YOU wanted a white Christmas =P

Loreena - We were supposed to get new snow today (Christmas Day)and some rain in Toronto, per the forecast a few days ago.  Now we will only be getting rain, likely freezing rain or ice pellets, later tonight.  Oh well.

Enjoy your white Christmas. :)

Loreena,

Great pictures, I read it was the first white Christmas in Dallas in 80 years.  We're dry and green in Seattle, but had a white Christmas last year.  Enjoy while it lasts, it may be a while before you see it again.

Wow, a white Christmas in Texas! We feel lucky here in Calgary when we get an unusually warm Christmas! I don't mind the white Christmas . . . it's just the length of time it seems to go on for into the spring! Glad you enjoyed the touch of magic for the season.

Loreena:

You are absolutely right about not going out in the cold.  I feel the same way.  But, your husband got some beautiful shots.  I am glad you got your wish for a white Christmas.  We certainly have plenty of it here.
