Drop a Note in my Locker

In my tribute to love this week I knew I just had to give props to the long forgotten 'note in my locker'. Whether they were from a best friend or from the cute cellist that sat a few seats over, they were wonderful. Now that cell phones and email are so prevalent I got to wondering if the note in my locker had gone the way of the dinosaur. As my friends know I am a lover of the personal note and I was thrilled to find out that junior high crushes are still blossoming through locker notes. I have included some of the links that I found most amusing.

A cute example of young love blossoming through the ways of the locker note

A testament to how great it feels to get a note

So lets all take time to remember the act of slipping a note through the vents of that special person's locker, first kisses in a band hall practice room, little notes passed in class, praying/hoping to be asked to the dance, and our first forays in love.

I haven't thought about it in a very long time.  There was a girl in high school who put notes in my locker about how much she liked me.  It was very flattering.  I really wanted to find out who it was, but she never revealed herself.

Carissa - this sure brings back memories.  What a great idea for Valentines.  I'm planning on sending personal Valentines to all my clients.  I love doing this kind of stuff. I usually have a little surpise in the envelope as well.

Enjoy your notes!

Wow, just think if married couples did this throughout their marriage....Maybe there would be less divorce!

Carissa ~ What a sweet post! I remeber going to my locker in 7th grade and he had heart shaped cookies that he got from the bakery. I was very shy as was he. We are still friends to this day!

Carissa ~ You sure brought back some great memeories.  I remember my best friend in Junior high had a crush on this guy but was too shy.  So she did the "ole note drop in the locker.  Later that day she walked by as he was opening his locker and realized that she had dropped her note in the wrong locker!  I laughed for hours!

Hi Carissa,

We have been married almost 17 years and my husband still finds ways to be romantic and give things a personal touch.  He still brings me flowers and makes pancakes shaped in hearts...  I consider myself very lucky!  Great post.  So often people loose touch with all of the technical things at our fingertips today.
