I love Italian food. There seem to be lots of positives regarding the Mediterranean diet: good fats, heavy on the veggies, etc.
So when I'm looking for that quick shot of Italian food, I like to check in at Luciano Neighborhood Pizzeria on Huebner Road, near Churchill Estates. They have one on Stone Oak too, but I've not checked it out yet.
You take your tray through a line and select your meal.
The food is displayed in such an attractive way, that you must take care and not get too much. It all looks so good that you can over do it if not careful. Luciano is a franchise operation, but seems like a local family enterprise. This is a nice place to take clients if you want a good food, served quickly in a nice location. Don't plan on spreading out a bunch of paperwork though. The tables are too small, and it's not private enough for that quiet business meal to discuss options or strategy.
I know somebody's Italian mom or grandmom makes great Italian food, but since I did not get invited to your house for that great Italian meal, I have to go with Luciano for now. There are other great Italian restaurants in San Antonio and over time, I'm sure I'll get to them too.
If you have a favorite Italian place in San Antonio, let me know.
