Affordability is the key word. As the market has changed dramatically in the last 4 years, more first time buyers have seen their choices widen. They can now afford good looking homes in areas which before were unthinkable.
Lee county, which covers, among others, the cities of Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Pine Island, is offering more value for your buck then it has in many years. Single homes in the high $200, 000’s can be had for low $100,000’s these days. Same for the condos for $20,000 to $30,000 less.
Word of caution; our inventory is shrinking and stabilizing. It is indeed a great time to buy and take advantage of this market condition.

Can one purchase a gulf access home in North Fort Myers for under $200,000? yes
These are great opportunities indeed and happy Hunting!..and don’t forget the $8,000 First Time Home Buyers tax credit if you have a biding contract signed before April 30th 2010!
