A Center City Condo

That's right! Believe it or not, a couple paid $12,459,000 for an 8,444-square-foot, 31st-floor penthouse of 1706 Rittenhouse.  This is the most expensive condo ever sold in Philadelphia and cost over $1475 a square foot.  The new owner's occupation is as a Money Manager. Hmmm....

Other super expensive Philadelphia condos include

  • Media entrepreneur Chase Lenfest paid $7,678,149, for a 5,850-square-foot, 46th-floor condo at  Two Liberty Place, it was a bargain at only $1312 per square foot.
  • Mayoralal candidate Thomas  Knox purchased the remaining half of the 46th floor for $7,521,475. I guess Chase had the better view.
  • Chase and Jennifer Utley paid $4.19 million for an Ayer condo  at 210 Washington Square.
  • Concer Promoter Larry Magid and his wife, paid $4.74 million for their Ayer Condo

Rittenhouse Square and Society Hill condos command the most, but in general the averages Center City Condo average around $400,000.
