American Heros.....

Hey Everybody,

I know that Memorial Day weekend ends up being that first "Go Do It" weekend of Spring for a lot of people and that's cool, but sometime during that rush to go camping/hiking/shopping/boating/fishing/jet skiing/etc... please take some time to think about what this Memorial Day Weekend is supposed to be about.  It is supposed to be about american soldiers.

-  American Soldiers that died protecting your freedom.

-  American Soldiers that lived and came home from war physically or mentally broken by doing what they did for our country.

-  American Soldiers that served in peace time as ambassadors to the world bringing food, water, or shelter to an area devastated by floods, or tsunamis, or earthquakes.

-  American Soldiers that stood in line to enlist after the horrible surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.  The men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and bloody Omaha Beach.

-  American Soldiers that fought in the forgotten war in Korea that was insultingly called a "Police Action".

-  American Soldiers that fought bravely in Viet Nam only to come home to be spit on and insults of "Baby Killer" and protests over everything they did.

-  American Soldiers that served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm to push Saddam's army out of Kuwait to protect the freedom of a country many/most Americans had never heard of before.

-  American Soldiers that enlisted after the Twin Towers fell.  The American Soldiers who went to Afghanistan to hunt down that murdering bastard Osama Bin Laden, who still desperately needs killing for the murder of over 3000 innocent American citizens.

-  American Soldiers that still are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan putting themselves in harm's way so we can complain that our government isn't doing enough for the economy or that our President is "spending money like he has a stolen credit card".

These are but a few of the things that should be thought about and but a few of the people who should be remembered and honored as American Heros on this Memorial Day Weekend.

If you see an American Soldier, please say Thank You!
