You learn a lot if you attend a lot of classes about a lot of real estate stuff.
One important thing to learn quickly is that it will probably be cold as the dickens in the classroom. Classrooms are designed for banker-type attire like men wear.
You will not be exercising. Your feet will get cold. Your bare arms will shiver. The chill bumps will be noticeable from across the room.
Take a coat. Don't wear cute sandals that show off your bare toes! (I guess this is mostly girl talk.)
Today's class that we had at Harding University was no exception. We were having a class on technology with Dick Betts teaching. I've learned this lesson so I took my coat but was doing pretty well with it on the back of my chair. Denise Winter, a fellow RE/MAX agent, kept eyeing my coat because..... guess what she had on.
Yep! Cute little sandals, short pants, low necked blouse and thin fabrics. She looked pretty as a picture but the chill bumps were causing her discomfort. She finally asked if she could use my coat if I wasn't going to do so. I loaned it to her.
Denise is this young woman whom I've known since she played on the softball team with my daughter a long time ago. I sold her her first house. I sold her parents a house. I sold her grandparents a house. I was doing great until she became a real estate agent! I accused her of stealing a lot of my clients!!
Anyhow, she is also lovely. She has a slim model's figure and this coat is a size 3 from Chico's. Girls will know that Chico's size 3 is equivalent to XXXLarge. It was a gift from my daughter. It fits me perfectly but on Denise it looked strange!! It absolutely hung on her but she didn't care.
She was warm!! She's a good sport, too, for letting me feature her on this blog.
Drat. I should have taken a picture of her cute little frozen toes!! Denise joins me in warning you about cold classrooms! Take a coat!
