I was stuck in Silver Spring in traffic a few days ago, and looked up at the building in front of me. I was instantly reminded of the great Saturday Night Live skit about Land Sharks. This is the Discovery Building in Silver Spring near the Metro and the intersection of Colesville Road and Georgia Avenue, just a few miles from my hometown of Bethesda and Chevy Chase, its nearest neighbor. I guess it is decorated for the summer! And I thought that Jaws just lived in the water!
That is funny! I wonder how the people feel though who have the offices behind that shark's head! Must be kind of gloomy in there.
Lise, I love the smile on his/her face. I agree with Susan must be gloomy behind that smile....
Lise - cool, now does this building house a lot of bankers, or perhaps politicians?
I love Mike's question, above... Hmm... Anyway, I wonder whose idea it was and would have loved to have seen the looks on the faces of the decision makers on that one. Really funny. Also, whose office window to block with the shark fin?
Lise, that is a great photo! Very unusual, I can see how you got to the Saturday Night Live reference!
Wow, you must have been just shocked when you looked up and saw that Lise! Our initial thought was the same as Susan's must be dark in there, but so funny for those on the outside!
Lise, that is hilarious! It looks like a building we would have near Sea World or Disney :)
