My morning ritual begins about 4am with a good dose of Active Rain posts with toast and coffee. This morning's post by Justin Bowers caught me totally off guard. His post "I cannot understand why real estate professionals waste their bloggin on AR. Please help and explain." Justin questioned why we spent so much time in the rain. He went on to let us know about the benefits of posting a blog on our own site but could not understand why we would keep blogging here.
I guess the biggest reason I post here and read here is the other 185K people that do. While I can post away on my own site and make Google all googly, I would be benefiting no one but myself. Here, I can help others while I learn. I can't begin to tell you how much info I have took from the Rain so why wouldn't I want to share what I know with my Active Rain family? If your primary motive is strictly getting leads, the Rain may not be the place for you, but if you are like most of us you will find a treasure trove of info....NEW info everyday. What scares me is if I learn so much in an hour every morning, what have I missed the other 23 hours? When I first started I thought re-bloggers were just too lazy to write their own posts. Now I thank each and every one of them cause I miss some great posts first time through. I would expect sometime in the future we will see a book about the Best of AR but until then I will be tuned in every morning for my daily juice. Thanks Actvie Rain and all it's posters.
