Do Not Apologize For Your Successes - You've Earned Those Bragging Rights!

From time to time I read success posts here on Activerain. It's great to read those success stories because it gives others the incentive to keep on blogging.

But, occasionally those writers apologize for "bragging". To me, it's not bragging. You are happy as a pig in poop because you got a new listing, you closed on a short sale thinking it was never going to happen because it had a slew of problems, you wrote something that changed a person's life forever in a positive light and shared it with us. You got a tv interview with your local station because of what you write here in the "Rain". You are proud of yourself and you should be. I love reading these stories and we all become proud for that person.

We all work very hard for our clients and customers. We do what we have to in order to help them obtain their goals. No matter what it is, share it because......You've Earned Those "Bragging" Rights!

Thanks, Jackie.  I recently posted about volunteering with Habitat and 2 folks told me to use that in my marketing. That had not even occurred to me.  Thanks for this post-we can blow our ow horn and we should!

Great thought, and if you haven't yet earned bragging rights keep on working. I will admit that real estate has been a tough nut to crack of late. My sales are nothing to brag about but I'm working at it, my attittude is good and I'll get there.

I agree with you. When you have done a job and did it well you are allowed to brag. We have a hard job and when it ends successful with happy families, feel free to brag. I will pat you on the back.

Happy as a pig in poop now that's funny. Seriously if you have success it is your opportunity to market it and use it as a tool to create future successes. No need to apologize unless you used the story/testimony/etc without permission from the other party.

We all have successful closings, but the ones that take ALOT to get done, and we "sweat bullets" to get a deal done is when I blog about them!     Great post!

All too often we never hear what a wonderful job we've done. Sometimes we have to toot our own horns. There's nothing wrong with that!

Hi Barbara, and those folks are right!

Hi Charles, attitude is what matters! I know it's tough right now and I'm right there with you!

Hi Diane, nothing wrong with bragging. Like you said, we all work very hard and at the end of the day if everyone is happy, it's all good!

Hi Ellie, thank you. Sharing successes is good for everyone!

Hi Roger, Thank you. I love reading those stories and I know there are more out there.

Hi Susan, yes it does!

Hi Darrell, yes, no need to apologize unless you make a mistake :)

Hi Joan, I couldn't agree more. Some deals are easier than others.

Hi Craig, there is never anything wrong with tooting our own horns!

Hi Laura, I don't consider it bragging either. And if others think so, who cares? :)
