Another misty and picturesque low tide looking out to Middle Bay in Harpswell Maine.
Harpswell is a small town of about 5000 residents in Southern Maine and is comprised of two peninsulas and several islands. Originally a fishing and lobstering community, it is also the summer home of many vacationers. With a mix of farms, camps, and seasonal as well as year round oceanfront homes, Harpswell still has a thriving working waterfront community.
Kristen: It sounds like a wonderful place to vacation, but also to "hang your hat" so to speak. Nice job!
It is beautiful. My parents live in Harpswell, not directly on the oceanfront, but you can walk at low tide from where this photo was taken, around the shoreline and then up the road to their house. They love poking around and my father spends a lot of time in the summer puttering around in his little boat checking on his lobster traps. Yum!
