Yes, you move me. In circles.

Years ago someone shared this with me and it changed me. You might say it moved me. In fact it moved me in concentric circles. If I knew who said it first I'd share that name but I do not. Maybe you will know and share the original source.

If you have not thought of life in this way it might move you too. Now, I'm not pretending to be Dr. Phil okay. But take a few and consider this. I think it's more than psychobabble...I think it is a practical helpful way to approach life whether you're picking peas of performing brain surgery, or selling real estate.

We face situations and circumstances everyday that reveal the different stages of progress we've made in our lives on any given subject. We are pursuing personal growth right? Think patience, kindness, temper, our relationships, finances and so on. Mostly we're not there yet, but over all we like to think we're growing. We're not reacting like a spoiled 5 year old reacts, nor are most of us mistaken for Jesus on any given day.... we are in between. We should be moving toward the ideal center in concentric circles.

Like at that closing that is falling apart. Are you thinking holy cow I'm going to hurt someone? Or are you thinking which direction am I going to let this move me in? Also how will my actions move others? Will my way of living and being move others ahead toward their ideal center? Think of that ideal place in the center of rings of concentric circles as the place where all your efforts to grow personally come together. Practice asking yourself when you face a difficult personality or situation how will I let this move me in concentric circles toward the ideal center where I want to be

Interesting? Not? Tell me what you think

Charles, it is always a choice to make.  Is everyone really growing to be better, not acting like a child?  We would like to think most of us are, but some chose not to grow, regardless what happens.

Charles--Not sure if this is the intention, but thinking about a concentric circle and moving in that direction has a sort of calming effect---which can be a very good thing in a real estate transaction.  There are agents who work with you and there are agents who seem to work against you.  Everyone moving in the same direction towards a common goal---the center---seems like it would have a positive affect.

Pat, I like that, although it was not the intention. We can only choose for ourselves.

Rita, You inspire people and they grow..we cannot be responsible except to do what we know is best.

Ah...the middle way.  I like it!  Just like Pat said, it is kind of calming.  Circles take the chaos out of things and bring it all into focus.  I think Dr. Phil has some competition in Arkansas!

This is a moving post and one which provokes a lot of thought.  I like the idea of moving together toward the "center".  For that is what we strive for to find calmness, focus and intention.  Nicely done.

Charles, your words describe the picture of the concentric circles in the picture.  We can all get stuck time to time and it is good to be reminded where we want ourselves to be and our hope for others, as well.
