The commute.

I had a great drive home from the office this evening. Just me, with the nearly setting sun in my rear view mirror and the very full moon rising ahead of me. Twenty miles of my 40 mile drive are over a winding two lane highway. The moon appears as I wind along, through the trees as a back drop turning the foliage to gold backed filigree. Then again as the golden guide high above me.

There is an austere beauty to the sparsely populated wilderness here on the Ozarks Plateau. The darkness of night, lit only by nature. The peaceful days where the quiet is beautiful.

If you have to commute, that is the way to do it. I too live within 5 minutes walk of my office. I'd love to say I do walk but that would not be the truth! I'm usually too loaded down with computer bag, files, etc plus I still foolishly wear heels!!

Charles~~Honestly, your talent is being wasted on real estate!! That said, if you are driving this far hopefully it is not every day. This is time that could be better spent if you do in deed want to sell homes. I have an office for my hired help, but I work from home. Saves lots of time and gas and I don't waste a lot of time socializing---only with the dogs--and they are not too demanding.

Joan, It is a lot of miles. I live in a sparsely populated county but just 40 miles away we have the world headquarteds of WalMart, Tyson Foods, JB Hunt Trucking and other Fortune 500 companies. That is the market I need to work in.
