Why Re-Invent the Wheel?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Why Re-Invent the Wheel.  I am an out going person and I think what I consider to be very funny.  I generally can get away with saying things others can't or won't say.  But with most buyers (only) I try and make it a fun experience, because as you know they buy on emotion.  So I really want them to enjoy their time with meand get involved emotionally.  I work, well the word work is a strong word (because if you look at myJerry Lewis and Dean Martin hands, you would be hardpressed to find calluses or cuts, bruises or scars from physical labor), I tend to do what I need to do to be successful in real estate.  This so called work as I would call it takes me about 12 hours a day, sometimes more.

But when I relax after the long day, I will just sit at my computer and listen to You Tube to my favorite music or comedy skits.  I also listen to Tony Robbins mastering influence.  From these things I do from relaxing gives me tons of ideas of what to say to my clients to keep them entertained.  I am quit witted and can comeup with a responce  for just about everything they say.  The only trick to this practice is to know when and who you can use this method with.

I also try to create motion, which triggers their emotion, something I learned to copy from some really smart guys, so basically I copy a lot of things I use.  Like these smart guys tell me, I do not need to be the smartest kid in the class, just be able to sit next to him.  The old saying is "if you want to be successful, copy someone who is successful."  You do not have to change or embelish it, just copy it, PERIOD!

Picture of Tony RobbinsWell when I listen to Tony Robbins, he gives great advice, plus he uses humor peppered through his speaches.  So, guess what, he is successful, so you guessed it, I copy him.  I am not completely unoriginal, I have funny and worth while things to add as well, but most of my buyers tend to think I am a "one of a kind", or maybe a better way to say it is that "I am anything but Ordinary,"  More over, they tend to like me, which makes them trust me and feel like they are my friends, which I definitely encourage.  I like to friend them as well, because it builds trust, loyalty and I will have a better chance for referrals (which are the easiest clients to sell too).  Long story short.  Try what I am doing!!  It works!!  I could write on this subject for days, but I will save more forHappy New Clients Frank and Debra Boehle future blogs.  Try my "Why Re-Invent the Wheel, theory, it just maybe the best idea your business is lacking!  And should you want to discuss this further, my cell phone is in my signature, and I would be happy to answer all your calls and tell you more in depth just what I do that you could do to help you as well!!

Don, there are some great trainers and motivators out there, that I have listened to over the years! There's usually not much new under the sun. It's just about practicing what we learn that is the daily challenge.

I always heard, you don't have to be the smartest if you surround yourself with the smartest. Happy Holidays!

Thank you all, aside from Re-inventing the wheel, you are all right.  There really are no new trails to blaze in real estate. Just go to the dance with who brought you to some degree.  Some things are dated, like things used in the Eighties, but you could still use that information by tweaking it.
