Public Recycling No Longer Available For Pinal County Arizona

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Benjamin Realty LLC

Public service recycling is no longer available in Pinal County Arizona. The public funded/supported receptacles have been removed. There is simply no longer enough public funding to support a recycling effort.

Some private companies have stepped up to offer the service to residents who want to recycle and who are willing and able to fund their own pick-up.

To read more about this situation, visit our blog post for more links and details.

This is just another sign of the times and public spending that must be cut back in order to try and begin to make ends meet.

Wow, how sad is this.  It seems like many communities and people are going to have start being responsible for themselves/helping each other and not expecting the governments on any level to support them!  I don't see how the governments reckless spending habit results are any different than when household budgets aren't adhered to -- they go broke.  Oh yah, there is one difference and that's that the government can just print more.

Bob & Carolin, our community has been working diligently for curbside recycling. And as you note, given the economy and budget concerns, we here in the bluegrass probably won't have curbside for some time.  BUT our community does have a public Recycling Center,  It's convenient location and hours make it easy to recycle. We just have to bring it there ourselves.  It feels good to do good for our environment!
