This Hacienda Haven is the Seller's dream house that was 20 years in the making. Born out of her love Oaxaca, it has the charm of a rural Hacienda but all the modern amenities of a home built in 2004. The centerpiece of this homestead is a huge central courtyard that is a sight to behold with its fountain; 40 English roses of all types and colors; sage and fruit trees, including: 2 apple, nectarine, plum peach, pomegranate and fig, as well as lilac bush and purple wisteria vines. The "main" house features a large L shaped covered patio overlooking the central courtyard and 596 sq ft guest house, not to mention breathtaking views of the lovely Santa Rita Mountain range. Built with energy efficient Rasta (styrofoam blocks filled with concrete), the walls of the big house are 14" thick and 10" thick in the Casita and the outside walls are hand troweled stucco. Entering the front door you'll find yourself in a Great room that gives a whole new meaning to "great" with its 14' ceiling w/ wood beams, gorgeous acrylic stained concrete floors, old-time handcrafted natural plaster walls, and huge window & window seat with built-in cabinets overlooking the courtyard. A quaint kitchen is located on one end of the Great room with a tiled stove top arch that is modeled after Oaxacan kitchens. You'll love the luxurious feel of the magnificent master suite which has a fireplace and a view of the Santa Ritas that will take your breath away. Master bath has a huge tiled walk in shower with one wall out of glass block and slate floor. Your overnight guests will appreciate the privacy of the completely tiled Casita with its own covered porch, mini great room, tiled counter with sink and place for a small refrigerator, Mexican tiled bathroom and sleeping area. All of the wood doors, cabinets, and shutters are rough, stained pine and in keeping with the Hacienda look and feel are not perfectly plumbed so the home can "breathe".
