The New Year started off with a bang with sales in the first part of the month significantly ahead of the same time period in 2010 but by the end of the month they had slowed and were ahead of January 2010 by only 3 sales, 52 as compared to 55 in 2011. HOWEVER, a promising note is the fact that the average selling price in January 2011 was $162,340 as compared to $157,727 in January 2010. Unfortunately, this represented a slight decline from the December 2010 average selling price of $168,477.
Between December 2010 and January 2011, the number of active listings in Green Valley jumped significantly from 666 to 789.
