The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival #59 among the Top 100 Fine Art Festivals in the U.S.
Art Fair SourceBook (AFSBTM), "the definitive guide to the best juried art and craft fairs in the U.S.", has ranked The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival #59 among the Top 100 Fine Art Festivals in the U.S. for 2011.
By comparison, the other major fine art festivals in the Houston area - the Bayou City Art Festival/Downtown and the Bayou City Art Festival/Memorial Park, established 40 years ago - ranked #54 and #76, respectively.
"It's incredible that after only five years, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is among the top fine art festivals in the country," said Jenny Wright, festival director. "The Art Fair SourceBook is the ‘go to' website for fine artists across the country, ranking the festivals by artists' sales. Not only is our festival performing on a level that attracts the best fine artists, it has quickly risen to the #2 spot among Houston-area festivals."
The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, produced by The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council, is an annual juried arts festival, featuring over 200 national, regional and international fine artists in a wide variety of mediums. The 2011 festival is set for Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday, Apr. 10, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m..
