The REAL "BANK OWNED" HOMES of the USA- A story in pictures part 9

Todays "Foreclosure" of the day

A large part of our business these days is REO " Bank Owned" homes. I receive so many comments how i can work with these "crooks" etc.... But there is another side to this story... by no means is any of this alright.... As you all know, as part of my ongoing blog, everyone reads and sees the mainstream media everyday reporting on foreclosed homes, but only a very few get to see inside them on a daily basis. I have decided to share with you the cream of the crop.

I have been asked several questions regarding my posts, to answer one of them... i have purposely left out towns, cities and pictures of the front of homes on purpose to protect the "innocent".

While not the glamorous part of the business, more people live this messy than most want to admit. I've seen these kind of messes for decades, so it isn't new. Regardless of the reason "why" the people had to leave, you can generally bet their lives are generally upset for quite awhile after having to move out of their home. One of my worst surprises was getting bit repeatedly after viewing a flea infested property. Lucky for me I was with another experienced person, and we quickly changed, and got cleaned up.

Hi Scott, When showing a foreclosed home that still has stuff in it, I often think past the mess and think about what that family must have gone through - especially when I see things like stuffed toys or teenager items.  You know the whole family must have experienced very difficult times.

Sadly, I have seen this a few times over. We still have a lot of recovering to do.

It is going to get  a little worse before it gets better, but the economy has to run its natural course, the government only delayed the enivatable. Unfortanately there are good families who got caught up in the recession, however i tell everyone, if they have any ability to make any monthly payment, ask for the home retention department of your bank, but dont wait until it is too late, they can help if you call early.

My pictures are not from teh good people who havbe lost their jobs and are facing bad times, these houses have been deliberately wrecked and damaged. What home owners dont realize is teh damage they cause, will come back to hurt them as banks are going after them for damages, filining insurance claims on their home owners insurance and it only ups the deficiency left over after foreclsoure.
