The area on the Ba-gua I would like to share with you today is called the "helpful people" Section. If you follow the Ba-uga Layout strictly, it will be located on the front right hand corner near "Career" (front entrance into your home, apartment or business).

When you think of "helpful people", you think of those individuals or groups of people in your life who have helped or are helping you currently. Remember this can relate to those who have passed away as well, they are  spiritually helping you.  It can be moments such as, helping you move into a new house, buying a home, finding your way around town, or as simple as giving you tips on how to care for your house plants.  No matter how big or small the tips, advice, or actions they have helped you with...that is a Helpful Person.

Now that you are aware of the "helpful People" in your life, How do you address that section?

1. You need to acknowledge them for helping you. Very simply, make sure to say "Thank you". If in person great, if not pick up that phone and give them a call or shoot them an email.

2. As we all know, Pay it forward.  If they are not in need of any help at the moment and time, others surely are.  So extend a helping hand when needed, let that be to, friends, family, co-workers and, so on.

3.  From a Feng Shui perspective there are certain thing you can do at home to enhance that area of your life.

As mentioned, if you wish to be more stick to the placement according to the Ba-gua you can, or you can move "helpful People" to another location in your home.  If this is the case, be sure to place your enhancements for that section in an area of your home that you spend the most amount of time.  Usually this is either the kitchen, living room, or bedroom. Some consultants may recommend not to put "helpful people" in the bedroom, but I always try to give you different options. Ultimately, you will know and feel if the location is right for you.

Items with how to enhance "helpful people"

In the area you choose to implement changes you can place photos of those who have helped you, gifts, business cards, any type of small trinkets of that nature. Some will put these items in a small metal box. Remember, in Feng Shui it does not have to show. You are acknowledging them from a Feng Shui perspective.

Elements with how to enhance "helpful people"

One of The elements used to help enhance "helpful People" is Metal. Why? Think about the characteristics of Metal, it helps transmit electricity from point A to point B.  Looking to a life situation, Metal does the same thing, it helps voices get heard. Example, my mother and I needed a major Landscape face lift last year for our yard.  One of our clients had a friend who was a landscaper.  We mentioned what we needed help with and when his friend had an opening they did the job and a very reasonable price.  That was a very extremely helpful person.

Another element to help enhance helpful people is the Element of Wood.  Wood relates to plants, which grow, are strong rooted, and supportive.  If you are looking to grow a wider circle of "helpful people," placing a plant or plants in that area is a great idea as well.

Every time you walk past your "helpful people" section be sure to say thank you. Weather it be silently or out loud, your intention to acknowledge and call in more helpful people is why you are addressing this area in such a fashion.

Laura,

Very interested post. I am so fascinated with Feng Shui and I have used the Bagua in my own home. I also use a touch of it in my home staging.

Nice job!

Hey Gary,

I know you would like this, because you are always teaching and sharing with us ways to improve our way of living.  How we treat each other, thinking before you act and speak ...all of this goes hand and hand with the principles of Feng shui.  :)

Hi Debi,

It's always good to be reminded, repetition is key.  The world is moving so fast that sometimes we forget.

Hey Teral

Thank you for stopping by :) The easiest way to be introduced to Feng Shui is understanding that yes, it's a form of interior design but, you are designing your home or business with intent.  Each object, color, placement of furniture and so on has a reason for what they represent in your life.

Your home mirrors to the world who you are and where you are at that point and time in your life.  Keep in mind, just like life, it will transform to matchyour needs.  It's a constant shift.  It's also important to keep in mind that Feng Shui is a life style, "treat others as you would treat yourself"...living ethical, physically, mindfully and spiritually.
