Hi AR in Arkansas ... my husband and I are in the preliminary stages of thinking of relocating and Arkansas is one of our top choices.
I would love if I could get some AR input on the state. I was looking in the Hot Springs area (between Hot Springs and Little Rock). If we're able to swing it, my husband and I may be making a trip that way at Christmas time.
We won't be making the move until the real estate market picks up here in Virginia - probably 2009 to 2010.
I will want to get my real estate license in Arkansas (I don't think Virginia and Arkansas are recipricol states).
What's important to us:
We love the countryside, we want at least 3 acres - more if we can swing it.
We love to ride motorcycles.
We are politically liberal.
My husband's a heavy equipment operator - so how's jobs and pay there?
