Goodwill finds higher need and fewer responses/donations with unemployment reported to be about 9% in Union county.
It was reported that 6,700 people used assistance from Goodwill in 2007 and jumped to over 17,000 people two years later. This year they are expecting over 20,000 people will seek help from Goodwill in Union county in NC.
