Mission Viejo Police Services Host Series Of Safety Talks In May 2011

Mission Viejo Police Services has a unique roll in the life of Mission Viejo Residents. More than patroling our streets, they are intimately involved with the overall safety of our community. As part of the ongoing education aspect of this group, in May 2011, the Mission Viejo Police Services are hosting a series of talks and workshops designed to help prevent violence.

May 24, 7-9pm: For Parents: About Teen Dating Safety
This first talk will discuss ways for parents to recognize the warning signs of abuse and how to react.

May 25, 7-9pm: For Parents: The Truth About Bullying
This discussion will help parents to understand ways of encouraging healthy relationships. It will also identify the teen trends and give parents tools to use with children of all ages

May 26, 7-9pm: Personal Safety: What You Should Know (age 14 and older)
This informative talk will explain offender profiles and steps you can take to protect yourself at home, at college and in the community.

All these events will take place at the Norman P Murray Community and Senior Center (949-470-8433) and are provided free of charge. RSVP Perferred.
