In my experience, there are basically two types of REALTORS®; the hands on type who actually speak with other agents during the course of negotiations, expressing gratitude and appreciation for bringing them an offer...

And then, there are the other types of REALTORS® who head up teams. They are "The Brand"and everyone on the team works to support "The Brand."  While the team can function quite efficiently, you rarely ever speak to the "The Brand", as He or She is far too busy prospecting for future business to express gratitude and/or appreciation to a mere real estate mortal bringing them an offer.

I am currently closing a deal with such an agent with whom I've not once spoken during the course of the transaction, even though I've left messages, which are generally returned by his listing manager, TC or another member of his elite team, but never "The Brand" himself.   I know he exists, cause I've seen his TV commercials and photos in the magazines and on sign posts.

Hello Mr. Brand Manager!  Please pick up your phone, return calls, texts or emails and put "Your Brand" temporarily on hold - there's an offer coming in from an equally important real estate professional who humbly requests a moment of your professional time.

I think this is where we cut to commercial...Geez!!!

Hi Robert! We have one of those here too, but they are not a "brand" just some one with too many listings and to little time.

Robert,

It is obvious that the Brand is branding themselves poorly by having assistants and others do the work.  Eventually the Brand witll learn to occasionally come off their perch and talk to the humble ones.  LOL we wish you the best of outcomes, A

I actually worked for one of those a while ago.  Needless to say, it didn't set well with me either!
