Free Concerts in the Parks with the Nashville Symphony!

Free Concerts in the Park

June will be filled with music by the Nashville Symphony. Starting Thursday June 9th, 2011, Kelly Corcoran will conduct free concerts in Nashville's Parks!

Kelly and Resident Conductor Albert-George Schram planned the programs together for this summer. You can expect to hear a variety of music including "Hoe-Down" which is a celebration of the American West, "A salute to the Boston Pops", music from some of your favorite movies and of course some of the classics.

The Nashville Symphony never fails to delight young and old alike. And it's FREE! Who can beat that?

Here is the June Schedule:

Thursday June 9th, 8pm at East Park

Friday June10th, 8pm BiCentennial Mall State Park

Sunday June 12th, 7pm Crockett Park in Brentwood

Wednesday June 15th, 7:30pm Moss-Wright Park in Goodlettsville

Tuesday June 21st, 7:30pm Centennial Park

Tuesday June 28th, 7:30 Centnnial Park

Free Concerts in the Park

Pack your lawn chairs, blankets a picnic and go enjoy an evening of fine music!

In addition to these concerts, the Nashville Symphony will offer a free concert on July 4th, at Riverfront Park to help celebrate Independence Day with Nashvillians.

What fun you and all in Nashville have to look forward toward! We do a version of that in Charlotte called Pops in the Park in June. I have always loved it and it is great to here you have the same. Newcomers to any city love getting that information with schedules, etc. It is a great way to meet people in their new city, too!

Michael - when we lived in Chicago we went to summer concerts in the parks often. I missed doing them and am hoping to hit some of these. After Cicada season of course.

Mary - The pops are my favorite! My husband and I used to watch the Boston Pops on TV every week in Chicago.

Al - Yes, everyone loves free. There's nothing like a nice day, picnik and free music.

Kim - There's always lots to do here. This weekend will be no exception. I'm looking for laid back personally!

Chris - OMGosh music by the water in a park. Perfect, no less. The Boston Pops have a band shell by the river in Boston where the perform on the 4th of July. We were lucky enough to be there one year and it was more than spectacular!
