Justice served to the unjust. .

Justice served to the unjust, turnabout is fair play, what goes around comes around...... I can go on forever because I'm having so much fun with it.  Finally there is a little justice in the banking world, as ironic as it may be.

A couple in Florida bought a home from the evil empire Bank of America, paid cash and never had a mortgage on it. In 2009 they were foreclosed on by the evil empire Bank of America as a result of a paperwork error. They sought legal help, but since they were really not in foreclosure and it was just a paperwork error, no one would take it on so they had to represent themselves.

After an arduous legal battle they finally won the case along with fees for theirmoney time put into fighting the case. The evil empire Bank of America being true to their form refused to pay the fees, which amounted to a miserable $2,500. They called everyone in the evil empire Bank of America and sent letters as well as a certified letter to Brian Moynihan (the CEO) which was received and acknowledged and they just simply did not respond (sound familiar?).

At that point they were able to get an attorney to represent the collection and needless to say the attorney ran into the same stone wall. At that point he was able to get an enforceable lien against the evil empire Bank of America and proceeded to foreclose on the bank.

Picture this in your mind; a moving company truck, the sheriffs' office and the police show up at the evil empire Bank of America branch and start seizing assets (I would have paid good money to see that). They start moving out desks, chairs, computers, printers, etc. Basically the same thing they've done on countless occasions.  About sixty minutes later, the sheriff's office is handed a check for $2,800 and the case is settled.

The evil empire Bank of America's response was that the apologized to the homeowner for the delay as the original request went to an outside attorney no longer in business. If you actually believe their malarkey, I've got a nice bridge I can sell you real cheap.

As you may or may not have noticed, I have no love for the evil empire Bank of America. This seems to be a repeating pattern that displays a corporate culture of dishonesty and apathy towards the consumer and society as a whole. You would think that a company that got $25 Billion from the taxpayer in order to stay in business would be a little more responsible, but then again why should they? We'll probably just bail them out again....and again....and again. Feels kind of foolish doesn't it?
