Is it time for a vacation?

We all need some time off, especially as realtors. Here are some tell tale signs for me that it is time for time off and away -

1. I get crabby

2. I feel tired

3. I resist showing and previewing homes

4. I waste time searching the internet and emailing friends while at the office

5. I start looking at expedia and vacation sites

6. I start thinking of hiking, shopping, spa, etc.

7. I am dreaming of being in Hawaii on a beach

8. I start forgetting appointments, making errors on paperwork, and disengaing my laser focus

After a few days and at least 20 miles from home, I am refreshed and invigorated to hit the ground running.

I started prescheduling vacations for 2-3 days a month. It really helps to keep me focused and motivated and productive between trips.

Lori, I couldn't agree more. Sometimes I get to the point where I get buyers contacting me over the internet and I just print the request and hand it to another agent. I just can't get myself motivated enough to rise to a new challenge. Then I know I need to recharge the batteries.

You work so hard all of the time-- it must be hard for you to relax when you take time off.   You seem happiest when you are making real estate deals!!  :-)

Lori:

I have been suffering from most of the items on your list.  I guess it is time for a vacation.
