Hi Barbara-Wow, I didn't really look at it as a case of survival....I guess it was. I only know that I truly love Real Estate. By the way Barbara..I don't buy it...YOU would survive and thrive at anything :)!
Hi Jill-It is pretty personal...I kind of had second thoughts about making it public..but I thought why not? I do think Real Estate chose me :)!
Thank you both for reading and commenting. I truly appreciate it :)!
These posts have been so much fun to read. I really need to put one of these together.
HI Craig-No, No, No...I am trying to win one :)!!! If you put a post in I am doomed :)! Just kidding. I am glad you are having fun reading these :)!
Hi Morris-Well...If you move to Texas, I can be your Realtor(r) and if I move to Florida...maybe you can be mine :)!
Thanks for reading and commenting today!
Brenda, great story and insight to so many aspects of your life.
Your mother already had a home, one that will never be taken in your heart.
Thanks for sharing
Enjoy the day
Hi Don-You know...you're right :)! She always has a home in my heart. Thank you for reading my story :)!
Brenda my wife's last surviving aunt lives in Anniston, and worked as a civilian on that Army base. We were there to visit her two years ago.
You took an interesting road to becoming a Realtor.
Hi George-Wow...now that is neat and kind of weird :). How is Anniston as I have never been back :). I guess you are right, I did take an interesting road to Real Estate :)! Thanks for visiting :)!
Thanks for your service.....I chose real estate b/c of the freedom it gives me to sped time with my family....would not do anything else.
Hi Ben-Did you write a blog post for the Why I chose Real Estate contest? You should...freedom sounds like a terrific reason to have chosen this career! Thank you for commenting.
Brenda....that is quite a story.....doesn't it amaze you how our life experiences play into real estate every day?? I sure have enjoyed reading all these stories!
Wow Brenda this is a remarkable life story - it seems so fitting after reading it that real estate is the perfect career for you. You know the value of "being home" more than many many others and what it means to have a home you can call your own - and stay awhile. You are amazing!!!!!
Hi Deborah-It is amazing, looking back on how I got into Real Estate. I am glad you are enjoying reading these :)!
Hi Anna-Thank you so much :)! I think you are pretty amazing too :)!

What a heartfelt story. I'm so sorry you lost your mother so early and so soon after she finally got a HOME. I can totally understand your need to find homes for people...I agree that the profession chose you!
Hi Sharon-I was sorry I lost her too. Finding homes for people and this business we call Real Estate is kind of a need of mine :)! It does truly bring me joy! Thanks for stopping by and commenting today :)! Ps...loved your post too!
Brenda, I really enjoyed reading your story! You have done so much in your lifetime, and I think it is wonderful that you ended up helping people find homes! Thank you so much for serving our country!
Having moved so much you can really resonate and feel a client's turmoil I am sure...adds to your already successful traits to being a REALTOR!
Hi Rose-I am glad you enjoyed my story :)! I think it's pretty wonderful that I help people find homes too!
Hi Cindy-I did move a lot and it does help to understand those who do it a lot like the military. I tend to connect with them more often oddly enough :)!
Thank you all for reading!
Brenda, I loved your story. I have a lot of friends who are either military or foreign service brats, and they make great Realtors. Bet you do, too!
