Bowling with 3 year olds. In Beaverton, they don't have to be excluded!

One thing most people think is bowling is for big kid’s game, but, not at Sunset Lanes in Beaverton, Oregon. They have a ramp that even the littlest of kids can put a ball on that is in some cases weigh half as much as the bowler themselves. But, with one simple light push, the ball is on its way.

At that point, they are just like any other bowler, who is praying they get a strike and when they do, they do the happy dance just like the rest of us! So, if you are looking for a place to take the family bowling, then I say take them to Sunset Lanes in Beaverton, Oregon, where the whole family can participate.

Cute pics! We have the same thing here in Texas...plus we have the bumpers for the older kids who want to throw it themselves but don't want to get all gutter balls.

Todd, very cute. I am not a bowler but my mother in law is.  She suggested that I start letting them learn by the time they were 5.  By 8 my daughter played in a league and she was pretty good.  She felt so much accomplishment that she could bowl without gutter balls, finally.  It's a good, safe, sport that is great for our hot Texas summers. Thanks for the nice blog, great pics!

That is an unbelievably precious picture. The twinkle in her eyes while she is praying is just plain ole wonderful.

Hi Todd, I am an avid bowler, and the fall season is just about to start again. You daughter is very cute and it's nice to see her give that ball a push down that ramp. This makes bowling fun, even at a young age.

Todd - The look on her face ir priceless.  I was a junior coach years ago and loved to teach them children the game.  When I managed the bowling center I loved watching the little ones at parties and with their families get the biggest thrill when theywould knock down the pins with a ramp or the bumper pads.

I just started my fall league and haven't picked up a bowling ball since the ened of April.  I could've used one of those ramps Monday night! :)

Todd, she is beautiful and looks like she had a great time playing bowling. It's  a good feeling to bond and play games with the Kids.

Kids get so excited when they are told they can't do something because of their age and then you find out they can. Sunset lanes certainly gives that opportunity to the youngest of children.

I like the idea, but those ramps don't seem to stay put very well.  I wish they had a better grip on the floor.
