PeacePassers.org Donate Your Soccer Items

By
Real Estate Agent with SHAHAR Management

Peace Passers is an organization that collects soccer items for redistribution to groups or communities that have been identified as not having access to soccerdebra walsh real estate gear without these donations.   This is a global effort that is completed through collaborations with mission teams, sports ministries and other global non-profits.

They accept soccer balls, jerseys, shorts, cleats and socks which can be donated right to Peace Passers.  They then match the donations up with the identified groups or communities.  You may also organize a collection drive within your own soccer team or community to be sent to Peace Passers.  They accept equipment from everywhere in the United States and if you would like to make a financial donation instead of equipment that is greatly appreciated as well.

To date Peace Passers has reached 30 different countries with their program:

Afghanistan, Angola, Belize, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Mexico, Nicaragua, Niger, Rwanda, Suriname, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United States, Zambia

Check out PeacePassers.org if you are interested in volunteering or would like to set up a community service project.

To see what you can donate and where to ship you may check the PeacePasser website.

Debbie, Peace Passers is also new to me.  As a kid, I knew what it was like not to have things for sports or scouts...nice knowing there are organizations willing to help.

Debbie, that is a great idea.  We use to give our kids sport equipment to others that we knew that had younger kids, but I know many that just throw it in the garage and it just sat there.  This puts the equipment to much better use than taking up space in the garage.

Howdy and evening Debra

Debra, the Peace Passers sure does sound like a mighty fine organization, which does a whole lot of good all over the World. What a mighty fine blog post you have done on their behalf, to help get the word out about what they do!

Have a good one

Peace Passers sounds like a fabulous organization!   I used to have a lot of soccer items around this house years ago, but not much anymore.   We have a family here in Wilton who lost their son in Iraq, and they started "Kick for Nick" where they collect all of the soccer balls in town, and donate them to Iraq kids....

Debra, I can see the need and what a wonderful effort to help children across the world. Both my kids were in sports. We were into Soccer for the season and Swimming year round. It is a good activity for children and offers much in the way of learning to works together toward common goals. It structures an experience that is beneficial throughout life. Thanks for promoting such a good cause and effort. I'll take a look to see if they are in the North State. It would be sweet for us to help out in honor os Christopher. He was quite the Goalie!
