Why I Love Anguilla, Let Me Count the Ways…

This post is part of a series I will be doing on my favorite Island Anguilla and the spectacular villa I will be redesigning/staging in November, 2011.

People who follow my blog already know I love Anguilla - it’s where I got engaged and married right on the most beautiful beach, Shoal Bay East and revisit as much as possible. 7 Palms Villa is located right off Shoal Bay East so that is where I’ll start this series.

Anguilla’s premier beach, Shoal Bay East is accessible from any part of the Island in under a half hour and named in the top 100 beaches in THE WORLD by The Island Finder, Travel Channel, Caribbean Travel and Life magazine and Conde Nast!

Crystal clear, turquoise water - like no other beach I've ever been to and I've visited just about every Island in the Caribbean...

7 Palms Villa is located right off of Shoal Bay East, a pristine and stunning 2 mile stretch of white powdery sand which meets up with the most beautiful crystalline turquoise water.

Right off of Shoal Bay East is an underwater reef teaming with fish and vibrant coral for some of the best snorkeling on the Island, easily assessable from the beach.

Along this extraordinary beach, Shoal Bay East, you will find a variety of the finest culinary world class cuisine from quaint and casual beach cafés, charming bistros to elegant 5 star luxury dinning which delight and satisfy even the most discriminating palate.

KG/GF--How did you find Anguilla originally? These photos make me want to jump on a plane right now. Sailing is also incredible in the Caribbean. Many years ago, I got to bare-boat there (but never went to Anguilla, darn it), and the water--as you captured it so perfectly--is the most incredible color I have ever seen in water. The snorkeling, even for someone new (like I was) is BREATHTAKING in the nicest sense of the word! My favorite photo is the one with the umbrellas, and the framing makes it look like a professionally done postcard or cover for a magazine/brochure for Anguilla.

Are you counting the days til you get there???
