Where/what is Ocala?
Ocala, FL is the Horse Capitol of the World, renowned for it's over 600 Thoroughbred farms.
We're near the heart of central Florida, providing easy access to both coasts, and the airports in Orlando, Tampa,Jacksonville and let's not forget Gainesville, home of the Gators! It only takes a few minutes to travel north for an exciting football or basketball game.
We're proud to be the home of the world famous glass bottom boats at Silver Springs, we're within driving distance of Rainbow Springs for those who enjoy water sports. Lake Weir and Lake Kerr provide some of the most affordable waterfront living in the area. Ocala National Forest and our multiple parks and trails provide tremendous entertainment for the hiker, biker, dog walker or horseback riding enthusiast.
We're just a short drive to Walt Disney World,Sea World and Universal Studios theme parks.
But, let's not forget that Ocala has much to offer, including the Appleton Museum, numerous events at the Downtown Square, many restaurants and clubs, more than 40 golf courses to keep even the most avid player entertained and we still maintain our affordable cost of living.
