Autumn in Union County NC

Peak leaf color weekend has arrived in the rolling hills of Union County NC.  The area's hickory and oak forests are putting on quite a show of yellows and golds.  The dogwoods and black gums add striking red tones to the scene.

Enjoy these photographs of the autumn foliage.

Hi Carol,

You are so right.  It is beautiful here in Union County, NC.  This is one of mine and my wife's favorite times of year - when the leaves are changing colors before they completely dissapear.
