Help! I am having a problem with my Outlook email inbox

Is anyone else having this problem this morning?

When I went to check my email, my inbox was filled with postmaster/not deliverable returned emails. Yet I had not sent out those emails to those people! They are not any people that I know. I deleted about 20 of them all in a row and now every ten minutes, they are all back again! Everytime I delete them more of these emails come to my inbox? Is this some wierd spam thing going on that I have not heard about? My antivirus is up to date.

It is getting quite boring to keep going back to delete 20 postmaster messages every ten minutes? Does anyone have a remedy for this?

It's surely spam, but as the others mentioned I would definitely run a virus scan. I used to get that quite often and now a lot of that ends up in my junk folder. For some reason, most of what I get is via Yahoo accounts. DO NOT OPEN any of those messages. More than anything they are probably trying to send you a virus. What is your current anti-virus software. It may be time to upgrade or change. I've had to do that in the past myself. Good luck!

Your caught in a email loop, it happened to me on Friday last week. I called my web master as that was the open door. They said that they couldn't do anything. Just delete them and don't open.

Run a different virus scan. One I have been using is Avast. But, it takes a long time, hours the first time.

Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much for all of you helping me out. I just ran another virus scan with my AVG virus scan, made sure it was updated. NO Virus was found. I am not going online to get a second virus scan done. I will let you know what!

Katerina, it sounds as if you have a worm. I would run an email virus scan and see if it detects any worms.

Katerina, Try the most simple thing first if you haven't yet:

1. Restart your computer. This may fix it, as it does many things.

2. If you have a server like mine, you can go to the website and delete the emails from the online server. They may be sort stuck there. It happens.

3. Call your email server if you can't clear it yourself. Sometimes they can do it for you. It may not be a virus at all. Just something stuck. I've had that happen.

4. Run a full virus scan just in case.

5. Call someone for help. I would try to be of whatever help possible.

Katerina, I don't have a fix either because I have never figured out how to set up my Outlook Express ever! I get to step 3 or 4 and I don't have a clue what they're talking about! It drives me nuts. Hi Everyone!

It is NOT a virus! I have run two virus scans from two different companies! NO virus! I think it is a spammer trying to give me a virus or something like that.

What happens is all of a sudden at the same time I am getting a bunch of those emails about how the African Counselor has millions of dollars for me to claim. A bunch all at once and then the postmaster return ones coming in dozens at a time. I have deleted them all during the day.

Is there a way to get my email just to block them, I doubt it, because they are coming from different email accounts, some yahoo, some gmail, some hotmail.

Hi everyone-

I have run the virus scans, NO viruses!

I have restarted the computer and all that stuff, still there.

Yesterday it did not happen at all now today it happened again.

I believe there is a connection between those I have a million dollars for you from other countries and these posts. Because they come in at the same time and lots of them together. I am going to have to one by one add them to junk mail, but there are SO many different addresses they are coming from!

Is there a way to make that part easier?
