How often do you get to see a bear wandering throughout your neighborhood?

Just as we were about to sit down to have dinner with some of our friends on Friday night, all the sudden we heard several dogs in the neighborhood barking uncontrollably.

They spotted what we got to see – a bear roaming around the neighborhood.  I guess the enticing smell of our salmon made its way outdoors to our furry little friend.

This is one aspect we treasure about Colorado Springs – the opportunity to witness the wonderful wildlife we share our environment with.

Gordon and Cherise,

I am sure the salmon got him out of hibernation, and it would get us following what is no doubt a delicious meal that you had on Friday.  I would have loved to have seen that bear! A

Glad you were indoors when he/she came strolling thru your neighborhood.  Luckily all of the dogs were smart enough to leave him/her alone.

How cute!  I'm kind of glad that it was at your house and not mine.  I'm not sure how well bears and horses would mix.
