Grand Finale at Day’s End

By
Real Estate Agent

Too many to count, are the spectacular sunsets along California’s majestic coastline.  This finale was found at day’s end, near Monterey California.

Author John Steinbeck popular to many Californians, for providing written imagery of Monterey and the Salinas Valley during the Great Depression, with his books, "The Grapes of Wrath" - "Tortilla Flat" - and "Cannery Row," spent many of his days in this region.

There are a few superfluous words to describe this scene; but with this visual, why try?   The scene was breathtaking, breath giving and life affirming!

I love the West Coast Sunsets. All along the coast line there is much to see.

Now I know why I did not see you yesterday Myrl.  :)

Praful - Sometimes words seem inadequate to the scene.

Fred - The Monterey Penninsula is one of my favorite places on Earth.  I'm glad, I live as close to it as I do.

Toni - I loved Steinbeck from the first time I picked up one of his books in the 9th grade.  I can almost relive "Cannery Row," when I'm in Monterey.

Tom - I'm very fond of West Coast Sunsets too. . .We are very fortunate to live in California~  I'm sad that I missed the meetup yesterday.  I need to check the blogs, to see if anyone took some pictures.

Hi Myrl, Your statement makes so much sense. Some things just don't require words. In some ways they just get in the way.

Hi Myrl, You were there at the right moment!  Such a treat to live on the coast where the sun sets over the ocean.  I can see why Steinbeck chose to live there for inspiration.

Wow what a great photo. A few years back I had the opportunity to be gifted with seeing a California sunset in person, on the beach, at Dana Point. I was mesmerized and your photo brought that gift back to life for me. :0)

Hi Myrl,

What a great photo. I certainly wish I was there right now. I love sunrise as the morning is starting but I am still partial to sundown and it seems like all is right with the world and if it wasn't then tomorrow will be better. This is just my favorite time. Thanks for sharing and hope your Earth Day was fun.
