Working in real estate is never boring and sometimes you see the darndest things! I was showing homes in Hernando Beach, Florida, when I came across this orginal method of securing a door!
What do you think? Would you have to call a locksmith to get it re-forkedkeyed?

Silvia - how funny! At least there was no duct tape involved in securing the door shut - but it's definitely redneck-y!
glad it was a 4 tyne fork, those 3 tyne forks are so hard to find sometimes, or even a locksmith that carries extra ones in their truck...
Silvia, In Wisconsin people may use baling twine and duck tape for repairs.
So funny and so true from around here we use duct tape, forks and other things to lock doors or whatever.
