Harris Teeter Coming to Flowers Plantation in Clayton.
The long awaited, much anticipated news is out that Harris Teeter is going to be opening a new supermarket in the Flowers Plantation Shopping Village. The expected completion date is October 2013.
The news has been met with great excitement in this part of Johnston County which has some beautiful neighborhoods like Flowers Plantation, Portofino, Neuse Colony, Southwick Farm, Wyndfall.Between them you will find homes from the $150’s to the $700’s, most have large lots, wooded lots, privacy all the desirable features you just cannot find in Cary or Raleigh anymore.
The most common complaint from people who are looking for a new home when coming to this area of Johnston County, while a mere 25 minutes from Downtown Raleigh was that the supermarket choices were limited, and Harris Teeter has a certain coolness factor that people love. There is no question that people are going to change their perception of this area misguided as it was.
I once had a lady who I was showing the trails at Portofino to say that if there was a Harris Teeter across the street she would sign a contract today. ( must give her a call!)
The growth in this part of Clayton, Archer Lodge will undoubtedly be given a boost by the arrival of a Harris Teeter at Flowers Plantation, as once a store of this size opens many more smaller specialty stores will follow.
Flowers Plantation is located at the intersection of Buffalo Rd and NC Hwy 42 East, it is a short drive from I 95 and a short two hours from the beach. It is in a growing part of Johnston county with excellent schools like River Dell Elementary.
