San Francisco the perfect back drop for world class events all summer!
With summer in full swing our beautiful city will be center stage for one world class event after another. Starting with the U.S. Open, The Film Festival, The 41st annual Pride Celebration and Parade, The Stern Grove Summer Concert Series, and the kickoff of the America’s Cup! Top it off with our diverse, one of a kind street fairs from Filmore to Union, North Beach Festival in Washington Square to Japan Town's Cherry Blossom Fesitival, Castro Street Fair to Folsom Street Fair. There are so many ways to get out and enjoy San Francisco's beautiful back drop, how about trying a sundy stroll through Noe Valley's Farmers Market,or later this summer one of my personal favorites to get outside under the stars at night for Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema.
There is truly something for everyone!
The San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival is a legendary showcase of queer cinema showing this June 14-24, 2012. Mingle with fellow film lovers, celebrate with the hottest directors, and discover new queer film favorites, including international and local gems.
While there are many theaters participating in the festival there nothing quite like going to the legendary Castro Theaters. The lights go dim, and up from the floor rises the classic pipe organ with a longtime musician warming up the crowd. Then it’s show time…
San Francisco the perfect back drop for world class events is just one reason this is a city so many people love to call their home.
