WHEN AGENTS WORK TOGETHER EVERYONE WINS!

Teamwork

This past week, a listing that I have been representing was presented with a unique situation.  The home was for sale but also for lease.  On the same day we received an offer to purchase, we received a short-term lease possibility for a two month stint.

The Buyer just put their home on the market and was happy to see the home leased for two months in order to get theirs sold.  The Seller was pleased because they have already relocated and this would give them a couple of months of payments until the house closes.  Additionally, the Tenant is happy as they are  corporate relocation client whose new construction home is not quite finished.

This deal required that three real estate agents worked very closely and as a TEAM in order to make this all happen.  It is really a great thing when we can all work toward a common goal to help our clients.  This was a perfect example of agents working together and everyone wins!

Now isn't that we all are in the business for?  Working together with our client's best interest first?  Yes siree Bob, in this case it shows that teamwork gets things done and we end up with happy clients and happy agents!

Working together is the key!  Now on to the next creative transaction!

Thanks Carie and Kristine.  This was truly a cool team work opportunity.  It was such a pleasure working with other agents who are putting their client's needs first.  It often does not work that way so this was such a wonderful thing.  Adversarial agents are just no fun to encounter at any time.

I only had need to read the title of your post to know that you were correct. Great story, and a great win for all parties involved. I do not understand why some agent want to make the relationship adversarial. Is that what they think their fiduciary responsibility is all about?

Isn't it nice when agents work together and in the best interests of their clients.  Transactions don't have to be adversarial.

Dale, Carla and Roy, yes this has been a pleasure to be a part of.  Wish they could all work this nicely but sadly it is not the typical norm.  Now I am sure that if we got a lot of Active Rain agents together we would have an excellent experience!  Wishing you all a very productive and happy day.  Thanks for the flower Roy!

Some of the most satisfying transactions I have ever had were those where we overcame obstacles that presented themselves.  How the agents act together can make all the difference!

As one of the agents involved in Paula's story, I have to say it really did work out well! My buyer had the confidence to move forward with the beautiful home they hoped for all while knowing they have time to get their house sold. Thanks to Paula and her creative thinking it really is a win-win for all parties involved! To top it off they will have time to put plans together for the pool they are dreaming of putting in immediately after closing. It is a great day when we get to work with other like minded professionals!

Morning Ms. Paula what a winning combination isn't that what we are in business for winning?  If just one of those agents had faltered this whole thing would have fallen.  Great job and it is refreshing to see agents work in this matter

Paula

I was fortunate to learn this lesson early in my career. I was working with a great buyer, sophisticated investor and he always preached, the deal is generally very simple if the agents get out of the way. It has turned out to be one of the best truisms I follow to today. cheers cvc

Sweet Paula! So many of our settlements this year have been very contencious. It is such a relief when all parties follow peaceful common sense.
