Boutique Bar for Season Pantry and Sundevich in Shaw DC
Beloved eateries Seasonal Pantry and Sundevich in DC's Shaw/Convention Center neighborhood are expanding into the (under construction) retail space adjacent to SP in order to add a bar.
The partners have applied for a liquor license and, according to SP partner Daniel O'Brien on Wednesday, the bar will hold 8-10 tables and will be named A&D (Ali & Daniel, presumably).
If the drinks are half as delicious as the food at Seasonal Pantry and Sundevich, geniuses O'Brien and Bagheri are going to have another boutique hit on their hands.
In addition to the new bar (no open date yet), some changes are coming to SP this fall. I can't tell all the secrets, but Daniel would let me say that Seasonal Pantry hours are going to change a bit. Pantry days will be reduced in favor of an additional dinner day.
SP tip: If you want to join a dinner night but didn't make a reservation well in advance, be a gift certificate holder. They get first priority. Tuck one or two away for a rainy night : )
