Dear Friends... As many of you know Marine Corporal Joshua Ashley was killed in action July 18, 2012 while conducting combat operations as a Military Police / Military Working Dog Handler in Helmand, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Law Enforcement Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. He graduated Etiwanda High School in2007, where he was the Captain of the water polo team and lettered all four years in both water polo and swim. He is the son of California State Parole Agent John Ashley. John is assigned to the Fugitive Detail and has worked very closely with us (Sherriff's Dept), and other local law enforcement agencies, for many years. I would like to ask all of you to take a moment on either Aug 1st or 2nd... to stand in support of this Marine and his family and friends.

Corporal Ashley will be flown from Dover Air Force base to Ontario on August 1,  He will be escorted by members of our Department, Ontario Police Department, Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario Fire
Departments, and Parole, with his family, to Drapers Funeral home in Ontario. (for Family Only)

August 2, 2012 Corporal Ashley will be taken from Drapers at 0930 to Hillside Community Church, 5354 Haven Ave in Rancho Cucamonga for 1100 services. At the conclusion of the services, approximately 1300, he will be escorted back to his final resting place at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 West G Street, Ontario CA.

Let's show his family, friends and loved ones how grateful we are for his service and sacrifice.

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!

It is because of people like Joshua that we have the freedoms and luxuries that we have. Let's go out of our way to stand up for them!

GOD BLESS AMERICA! & OUR SERVICEMEN TOO!

Amen,

God bless his service and your loss.  I can empathize as I just lost my son last month who served the navy aboard a submarine.  We thank all that serve our country but it does come at a cost to us personally too.

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.
