“Linkedin Continues to Bring Great Results”
As of this morning, I have 1,986 connections and over 120 recommendations.
To me it continues to be instant credibility and saves so much time. Here is a perfect example.
I was at motor vehicle on Saturday to turn in a set of plates. I got their early before it opened and while in line I started talking to the person next to me. He was sharing about an issue he was having to register a pickup he purchased out of state.
I asked him what he does for a living and of coursed he asked me the same. I told him I give money away. Wow, that must be a great business he said. After some back and forth banter, I shared with him that I was in the mortgage business. He asked me what my rate was for a 15 year mortgage, so I told him 3%. Points he asked, I answered none. He asked if I had a business card and asked for his as well.
When I got him online and found his Linkedin page. Did a little reading up on him and his business.
Monday morning I got an email from him, in which he told me that he got his pickup registered. Then again asked me a number of additional mortgage questions.
I responded to his questions and gave him my link to my Linkedin page, and asked him to feel free to check me out.
Later that afternoon, I got an email from his asking when he and his wife could come in to do a mortgage application and mentioned how impressive my recommendations were.
