We haven’t had a blood drive in Zimmerman for a while. And, thanks to the Fresh Water United Methodist Church in Zimmerman, who will host an American Red Cross community blood drive on Thursday, October 11 from 1 to 7 p.m.
Remember, giving blood not only benefits the community at large but yourself, too.

I haven't given in a while. I need to get in the habit of doing it regularly again. Before something happens and I can't anymore.
Don- Giving blood is a wonderful thing to do. I try to give twice a year, doesn't take much time at all and the impact is so huge.

Between your post and seeing my local Carter Blood Mobile the other day, this is a good reminder to donate blood. There's always a shortage of blood and there should never be a shortage of good volunteers.

Don, Hope they have a huge turnout. My day job regularly holds blood drives so about every 10 weeks there's a one pint donation and gets my red blood cells refreshed. It's definitely good for you personally and helps the receiver too.
I will be there with my arm out. I can't think of too much that helps the community more other than voting and participating in council meetings, etc.
Another great localism post, Don. You know that so many people "mean to" do this. Now is there no excuse.
