I can thank my son for these photos. He claimed to be bored this afternoon. I know... crazy! You live in vacation land, and you're bored? A quick (2 minute) drive down the hill to the Auburn Riverwalk solved the problem. There are so many nooks and crannies off the path to explore and enjoy.
Kristen, you son is quite a photgrapher! I love the way he used the light and reflections on the water.

Thank you all. We had a great time. Oops, looks like a made it sound like my son did the pictures. I thank him because he is the reason we got out of the house and down by the river. I took the photos, although he has a great eye for photography and often takes his own. This time, he wasn't interested in taking pictures, just climbing, picking up sticks and skipping stones.
He is also the one who found the weird tree by going way off the path. He thought it looked like a bunch of alien trees trying to take over the riverbank. That whole area of riverbank was nothing more than tree roots holding on to as much dirt as they could.

Kristen~ The photos and the locations are just amazing. When the weather warms up again, I need to go for a walk and just enjoy Mother Nature. I'm not going out in the 30s to do that today!
