Mr. Buyit bit it before his short sale offer was accepted!

Patience is definitely not a virtue when it comes to short sales as anyone who has worked one can attest. Lengthy time lines create unecessary stress and can take a toll on the emotions for all involved. They are not ever guaranteed to close and Mr. Buyit bit it before his short sale offer was accepted!

Perhaps he should have listened to his buyer agent and offered on a financially healthy property or even a new build, he'd be a happy home owner by now. Unfortunately, there are no next times for this fellow!

Happy Halloween all!

Love your photo Wanda, I think it makes the point about how long a short sale can take.

Good morning Wanda,

I'd laugh, but this is so true as to be (almost) not funny...I have had this same buyer, he "threw in the towel" after 4 months of no response from the bank on his offer.

Great post love the photo. This is so true when it comes to short sales patience is virtue with nothing guaranteed with them.

Hi Wanda,

Your photo is hilarious! You are right..chasing the short sale in terms of stealing a house often brings on such uncertainly and stress it's not worth the wait. Getting a brand new home or a good resele could have happened by now and Mr. Buy it could have been moved in ready to enjoy the holidays!

Wanda,

Your title and photo tickled my funny bone.  Featured post in Do Not Worry ~ Today group.  Guess Mr. Buyit doesn't have to worry anymore.  Have fun!

Have a short sale going in my office. It was approved and my agent was waiting on the signed docs back. All the sudden it gets pulled from her portal (not naming names). She starts checking and it has been scheduled for auction. Really? Almost a full price offer and well above their net and they move it to auction?

REO company says they can't remove from auction (Which we all know is bull). Two weeks later and tons of phone calls late it is gone from auction site.

They sold it to another REO company and now we are starting the SS process all over.

Wanda -- great photo to illustrate problems that can occur when trying to get short sale processed.  Sorry to hear about Than's problems.

Richie, I can agree with that!

Dorie, My point exactly! I have had a few that went quick but the bank was on board and ready to accept an offer to move on!

THANK YOU for the feature Mary! I had to do a blog on this pic!

Will, This is just a little humor (no harm meant) and yes, it does happen!

Than, So sorry that happened!

Steven, Sad to say that lack of communication often plays a part in this!
