Grand Opening of Cocoplum Village Shops in North Port FL

The largest and newest strip center in the area developed by Benderson Development Company is pleased to announce the celebration of the grand opening of Cocoplum Village Shops in North Port FL.

The Cocoplum Village Shops is more than 300,000 square feet with over 30 stores.

Date: November 17, 2012 Saturday

Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Ribbon cutting ceremony: 11:45am

WSRZ-FM will be there to promote the grand opening. There are many free prizes to be given away. It will be a fun event for the whole family.

Benderson Development Company brought in many well-known retailers to the Cocoplum Village Shops. Consumers will be very happy with all these new retailers moving into the City of North Port - before then, they had to travel to Venice, Sarasota or Port Charlotte for their shopping at TJ Max, Ross Dress for less, Famous Footwear, Sports Authority, Hobby Lobby and Panera Bread. Among the existing tenants are Publix, Chase Bank, Beall’s Outlet, Pet Supermarket, Kumo Japanese Steakhouse, Little Caesar’s, GNC, Radio Shack, Sally Beauty, Subway, GameStop, Mattress Firm, and many other stores.

The Cocoplum Village Shops help to improve the economy in the City of North Port, as more than 500 people will be employed.

That's a nice development, Kwee. When I was growing up in Venice, it was "North Port Charlotte"... somewhere along the way they dropped "Charlotte" from the name of the town.

Hi Kwee, What a great addition to your community and I like the name "Cocoplum Village. I can see from the sign that it has some great stores like TJ Max and Ross which are two of my favorites. The good thing about new malls as it brings more revenue into the community and more businesses decide to open. We have a big mall in Redlands CA and now many developers are bringing large retailers into the area so this mall just used to be in a rural area is now a major area of the city.
