ActiveRain MeetUP Plan One Near YOU and Enjoy the Results Part Two
In PART ONE, I shared suggestions about finding folks near you to invite. Here, in Part Two, are suggestions for choosing a location and a time. Every city is different but MeetUPs are always a success - whether two people or a group of twenty. I have been at larger ones and at smaller ones. Very different. The larger groups were like "parties" and the smaller groups turned out to be study question and answer sessions with a light dinner. Each was different and each was special.
For an additional place to announce your special AR MEETup event, among the Groups for ActiveRain, check out AR-ups. It is fun to see where others will be meeting. AR-ups serves for another option as well. When traveling to a new city, one can schedule a MeetUP just to meet others there. As a business tool (referral base) or just for fun, when on the road, post to the AR-ups Group and seek out other 'Rainers.
ActiveRain MeetUP - Organize One ...
Choosing a LOCATION and TIME to meet ---
Step One:
Ask the folks you identified in your search of members whether morning, lunch or after work is their preference.
Step Two:
Check different restaurants near you for a location with a space without knowing the exact number of attendees.
Step Three:
Check with the folks who want to attend to see if their business has a room in which to meet.
Step Four:
Ask each person who is coming to bring another AR member or someone who hasn't joined yet.
Step Five:
Choose a charity focus for the event. Perhaps the Food Pantry for your city? The Winter Coat Drive? Toys for Tots? Or ...?
